FIRST ART SALON
Guest Artist and Lecture
Private Collector's home of Jerry Shapiro
Sausalito, CA.
Friday, March 5th, 2005.
Art Talk by two artists: Patricia Araujo and Wilma Parker.
Each artist as presenter and lectured to a group of docents from SFMOMA and San Francisco Fine Art Museums, (FAMSF).
I exhibited paintings related to the Copper Series and presented video: New Paintings. This video is live footage of a past solo show by Patricia at SOMA Gallery, San Francisco, 2004.
This was the first and only "First Art Salon" held by Jerry Shapiro. Jerry died a few weeks after this event. He was an avid collector and loved the fine arts. During his later years he devoted his time as a docent at SFMOMA and at the de Young Museums.
