01-28-2019 08:36 pm

Happy 80th GGIE (Part I ) at the Treasure Island Museum, Sat Feb 2nd

Come celebrate the 80th Anniversary of GGIE at Treasure Island's beautiful Art Moderne "Administration Building" on Saturday, February 3rd from 1:00-4:00pm. The Treasure Island Museum will be the setting for an afternoon of lively presentations, a “We Were There” conversation with a panel of GGIE attendees, a raffle, refreshments, and more. Participants include Richard Reinhardt, author of Treasure Island 1939-1940: the Exposition Years, Kathryn Ayres, historian and lecturer, and Paul Totah, editor of The San Francisco Fair, published for the fair's 50th anniversary in 1989.  The St. Ignatius Prep School Jazz Band will provide music. A freewill offering of $10 is suggested at the door. For more information about this event, visit Treasure Island Museum.

During this one day event, I will have on display a selection of reproductions for sale (printed on archival paper) of my paintings relating to Pacifica/GGIE. I look forward to celebrating the 80th very special milestone! It's been a pleasure to visit the Treasure Island Museum and gather with their lovely crew over the past 5 years, and attend its terrific curriculum of monthly events - a magical place where I've met so many of you enthusiastic GGIE lovers!
