33 New Montgomery Clock presents the facade of the clock building of 33 New Montgomery Street, It is positioned in between Mission and Market Streets, and across from the Palace Hotel. I've admired this clock building for some time and have included it in several of my paintings. It is fun to notice this clock while walking from a far, such as from downtown area, and especially at night. For some years, whenever I'd walk in the neighborhood, I would look up at this clock and the time would read "9:05", a repetitive moment. I am constantly inspired when I see this building and look forward to reading the time!
This painting was first exhibited at Studio Gallery, during the group exhibition titled, "City Streets", August 2010, and was later exhibited at SFAI's 10th Annual Winter Art Fair, December 2010. 33 New Montgomery Clock is featured in Araujo's book publication, SOMA RISING, in 2012.
